COVID-19 Update 3 - Temporary Closures
With the COVID-19 pandemic worsening and the peak impact expected in the next few weeks, it’s important that we look after the wellbeing of our employees and customers. I have made the decision to temporarily close Heartlands Metal Craft Ltd from Friday April 3rd until Monday 20th April.
Our manufacturing and installation division will be closed, and our office landline has been diverted to our office staff to deal with your enquiries whilst working from home 9.00am – 16.00 Monday – Friday.
Emergency callouts to our installed automatic gates can be arranged by calling our landline on 01384 900260 or by email email@example.com. These will be discussed to gauge the severity of the callout before we arrange an engineer during the shut down period.
Any deliveries that have not been arranged and confirmed for existing orders for our products including our Period Cast Iron Gate range by Thursday 2nd April 13.00 will not be dispatched, and will be scheduled on our return.
The situation will be reviewed regularly, and we will update you if the situation changes.
We would like to thank you all for your support and hope we can come together and continue to support each other over what will be very difficult times to come. Please check across our social media platforms for updated previous installation posts throughout our shutdown period.
From Jason and the team at Heartlands Metal Craft Ltd, please take care and look after yourselves, we look forward to working with you again very soon.
COVID-19 Update 2
In the current economic climate due to COVID-19 we aim to continue as normal until however advise that dependant on the level of enquiry, investigation and/or information required it may take longer than usual due to reduced staff numbers. Please bear with us.
As we face this unprecedented situation of COVID-19 we would like to briefly update you on the measures that Heartlands Metal Craft LTD are taking to safeguard the health of our employees, customers, families and friends but also to assure you that we intend to continue to offer a first rate service to our many valued customers throughout this crisis.
We are closely following all safety advice offered by the government, the NHS and Public Health England on a daily basis. We are continually monitoring the situation and updating our measures as we learn more each day.
Like many businesses, we face a number of risks over the coming weeks – workforce reduction due to preventative infection of our employees, the need to possibly temporarily close due to the infection of an employee, visitor or forced closure from the government will of course give delays to enquiries, callouts, manufacturing and installations.
To date, we have experienced a reduced workforce causing disruption in maintaining our normal level of service as you will appreciate.
Like everyone, we look forward to when this unique chapter is behind us but in the meantime please be rest assured that our joint aim will be to keep everyone safe and well and also ensure that the service that we offer to our valued customers continues.
Please check our social media and website for regular updates.
Thank you – TEAM HEARTLANDS

Images of Heartlands Metal Craft Chosen to Appear in Reclaim Photography Festival
Halesowen based Heartlands Metal Craft, specialists in the manufacture and installation of contemporary and traditional gates, will feature in the Reclaim Photography Festival ‘Reclaiming Our Industrial Might 2018’ at the Black Country Living Museum on 19th and 20th May.
Reclaim Photography Festival is a community arts project that holds an annual programme of events and exhibitions with young people, and emerging and established artists, and showcases their work in public places. They contacted Heartlands Metal Craft back in January to request involvement by allowing a local photographer to capture the manufacturing work that takes place on the premises for their regional project.
Contracts Manager at Heartlands, Jason Morris said:
‘As a local business who takes great pride in the traditional and durable techniques used by our highly experienced craftsmen, we were more than happy to welcome photographer Andrew Crawford, a participant of Reclaim Photography Festival on site.
‘The images he took really captured the essence of Heartlands and the staff. Mark Hodgkiss, one of our fabricators appears in one of the photographs being exhibited and is very pleased to be associated with the project. Mark will be attending the exhibition at the Black Country Living Museum with his family.’
Located in the heart of the Black Country, Heartlands Metal Craft are proud to be part of a region historically famed for its iron foundries and steel mills. Our team have worked with mild steel, cast iron, stainless steel and wood on countless projects and pride themselves on the quality of their work.
