Images of Heartlands Metal Craft Chosen to appear in Reclaim Photography Festival
Halesowen based Heartlands Metal Craft, specialists in the manufacture and installation of contemporary and traditional gates, will feature in the Reclaim Photography Festival ‘Reclaiming Our Industrial Might 2018’ at the Black Country Living Museum on 19th and 20th May.
Reclaim Photography Festival is a community arts project that holds an annual programme of events and exhibitions with young people, and emerging and established artists, and showcases their work in public places. They contacted Heartlands Metal Craft back in January to request involvement by allowing a local photographer to capture the manufacturing work that takes place on the premises for their regional project.
Contracts Manager at Heartlands, Jason Morris said:
‘As a local business who takes great pride in the traditional and durable techniques used by our highly experienced craftsmen, we were more than happy to welcome photographer Andrew Crawford, a participant of Reclaim Photography Festival on site.
‘The images he took really captured the essence of Heartlands and the staff. Mark Hodgkiss, one of our fabricators appears in one of the photographs being exhibited and is very pleased to be associated with the project. Mark will be attending the exhibition at the Black Country Living Museum with his family.’
Located in the heart of the Black Country, Heartlands Metal Craft are proud to be part of a region historically famed for its iron foundries and steel mills. Our team have worked with mild steel, cast iron, stainless steel and wood on countless projects and pride themselves on the quality of their work.
