Graduate Advantage exists to bring graduate skills to businesses across the West Midlands region in order to support research, development and innovation that will enhance the prosperity of the local economy.
Our mission is to
- Develop a cadre of trained and experienced graduates rooted in, and
with a strong network in, the West Midlands economy
- Provide undergraduate and graduate development opportunities in local
companies that draw upon the most attractive features of training offered
by large traditional graduate employers to the mutual benefit of graduates
and SMEs
- Grow the reputation of graduates as potential innovators, change drivers
and competitiveness enhancers to hitherto wary businesses.
- Provide a clear mechanism through which capable graduates are able to
identify career development opportunities within the West Midlands, thus
encouraging settlement or return.

VACATION PLACEMENT PROGRAMME
This programme allows you to recruit a locally-based undergraduate to work for you during the Christmas, Easter or Summer vacation on a project that will help to develop you company. Students can help you to tackle issues which existing staff never seem to have time for, such as streamlining office processes, developing IT systems, improving your website or researching new markets.
GRADUATE PLACEMENT PROGRAMME
Our Graduate programme offers a low risk way for you to recruit graduates to more substantial projects. It mimics the highly successful graduate training programmes utilised by major graduate recruiters, with training of graduates prior to their start with your company and ongoing support from Graduate Advantage team during their time with you.
